I'll be watching to see how Stef plays against Chay Shegog who is UNC's leading scorer this season. Will Stef be able to score and limit Shegog's touches.

i watched UNC just the other day or so and Chegog was a complete black hole in the post. i'm not sure the last time i saw a player refuse to pass out of the post. every time she received the ball, even if double team, she simply pivoted over and over and over and then just barreled up a shot hoping to be bailed out or score. i really don't get it but it will be interesting to see if she can get Stef into foul trouble since Shay is more athletic.

having said that, based on what i've seen and who they've played and what the score was i'm going to agree with most folks on a blowout.

I would like to amend my prediction. What was I thinkin'...it's Carolina! It must be Carolina blue that makes UConn see red every time we play them! Hatchell must feel like a pinata!

I was giving UNC the benefit of the doubt in saying they would score 49. Thats unlikely at this point.

I think that North Carolina always has been one of the most overrated women's basketball teams in the country. It seems that UConn pummels the Tarheels with impunity continually. I would consider any close game with them an indication of a very very poor Huskie performance and obviously that isn't happening tonight. I don't think a whole lot of Maryland either as they have frequently been highly overrated.

That was embarrassing. Had it been softball, they would have invoked the "mercy rule" in the first half.

So my wife and I are watching the game and she says, "UConn's just beating up on the other team. They can't be any good," and I'm trying to explain that this isn't Towson or Fairleigh Freakin' Dickinson or some team like that. They may not be great, but they're North Carolina, from a major conference and they're ranked 21st. So she says, "but UConn is ahead by 50. How can NC be any good if that's the score?" and I'm trying, unsuccessfully, to explain that the fact that NC is a ranked team and UConn beat them by 50 says a lot about how good UConn was playing tonight.

Anyway, I thought this was really fun to watch.
