For the post season prediction championship , here are guidelines for the up to six game competition. These are based on some explicit and implicit feedback from Yarders as well as some suggestions from friends.

Keeping in mind that this is again set up first and foremost for fun, that it is imperfect, that it is based on the frequent Las Vegas focus of who will win and by how much, and that format modifications have been made based on your feedback, especially with regard to factoring in much more prominently the genius of predicting the correct score.

To qualify for earning championship competition points in any specific game to contribute to your competition total, predict the winner correctly. That done, points toward your total will be awarded per game in this fashion: total of 10 points for correct prediction of both the MOV and the exact score for each team; 8 points for correct prediction of the MOV only. If no one nails the MOV, 6 points for closest to correct MOV. 5 points for being one off winning MOV. 4 points for two off winning MOV, and three points for only three off MOV. Points then totaled for the six (we hope) games to identify our most prescient predictors as a group, and to crown one of you as the Boneyard Champion Fearless Forecaster, 2017. Your questions and comments welcome as always. And, as always, good luck and/or outlandish wisdom.

OOPS: Nope, this thread it NOT for entering predictions, just for presenting guidelines and providing for any questions you have or comments you'd like to make. The Score Prediction thread for Albany was set up earlier and is functioning to receive forecasts. (Off to early supper at friends, but will be able to check in later.)

Two quick reminders: 1. The points leading to the Fearless Forecaster award are cumulative for all the post-season games UCONN plays in, so important to take a shot every game, even when you don't have a good feel for how it might pan out. Even ADESMAR and CARNAC find themselves in the hunt from time to time. ( :

2. Wife and I might be the only two who were off kilter on this for awhile, but just in case there were/are others, originally we had the game down for noon; it is slated for ELEVEN this morning.
