I'm also a Badger fan so watching them feels good. The Utah State coach they got seems to have it together.
Somehow PP has ruined my CFB junkie verve this week.
I dragged myself to the KU home opener. I was hoping that KU would look worse than UConn but I was disappointed.
Not a bad stadium or atmosphere. South Dakota kept it interesting, and they just moved up to FCS... KU is going to get shelled in the Big 12 again.
I only watch to see my hated teams, which are many, lose.
Even tough getting into watching our current conference mates perform. (Houston & Temple have a decent one going) Used to be no problem a few years ago when the BEast was trying to prove itself as a BCS conference vs the big boys.
Now......life just sucks for us in CFB land.
I used to get excited for any BE football games. I'd watch, and get excited, for crap like USF@Pitt and Cuse@Rutgers. It's not just our conference games that have lost their luster. I didn't even care to watch SC@UGA. I hate to say it, but we can't put all the blame at P's feet. Conference realignment and the NCAA's ridiculous handling of their scandals has just as much to do with why I don't care nearly as much as I used to. How does UNC even still have their accreditation, much less not have any fall-out after an entire academic department is found to be fraudulent?
I only watch to see my hated teams, which are many, lose.
Watching Cincy get beat down and another empty Temple home game puts our conference in perspective. Minor league.
Rock Chalk, JayHawk, KU is a bit better/more spontaneous than Blue - White eh?
KU was the worst football team in FBS last year. That school has a preponderance of hit blonde coeds and a great on campus stadium.
Everyone wears the right color clothing.
Everyone knows what to do when they score a touchdown.
I just cannot get into college football this year. That lost to Townson has just sucked all of my passion for college football this year. Couple that with the fact how horribly the AAC' has been playing has he really been a big buzz kill.
I agree 100% about conference realignment killing Saturdays for me too.
I used to have a handful of "hated" teams that I would love to watch to see if they would lose (BC, Miami, Florida State, etc.). I also had a bunch of teams that I loved to watch to see if they would win (other Big East teams, Temple, Baylor, Northwestern, Boise, Penn State, etc.). Conference realignment has made it so that I hate 70% of the teams out there and I look at the other 30% as possible competition for the next realignment. Therefore, for the first time ever, I don't care if Cincy wins or if USF wins or if Temple wins or if Boise wins or....you get the picture...
