I would imagine there will be an article at some point but here are some updates from Jim Fuller (New Haven Register):

#UConn's scrimmage ended with CB Jhavon Williams running INT back about 80 yards for TD. Remember that name, he could make an impact

NHRJimFuller 1:50pm via TweetDeck
#UConn promising sophomore RB Joe Williams appeared to suffer left ankle injury in scrimmage and had walking boot on

NHRJimFuller 1:54pm via TweetDeck
Watching new #UConn off. coordinator/WR coach T.J. Weist interact with WRs after practice you'd think he's been their coach for years

NHRJimFuller 2:04pm via TweetDeck
#UConn first-year offensive coordinator T.J. Weist "We are learning how to play, we are creating our identity on offense."

NHRJimFuller 2:10pm via TweetDeck
Xavier Hemingway, who has seen first-team snaps at LT , didn't play in #UConn scrimmage today. No update on his status for spring game

NHRJimFuller 2:12pm via TweetDeck
Dalton Gifford got first-team reps at LT in place of Hemingway for #UConn

NHRJimFuller 2:23pm via TweetDeck
#UConn OC T.J. Weist on tight ends "probably 1 of weakest points on offense at start of spring. It is growing to be a strength for us"

Couple from Paul Doyle @ Courant:

New #UConn OC TJ Weist likes his offense this spring: ““Progressing well every day. ... Every player is really executing."

PaulDoyle14:06pm via web
Weist on QB Chandler Whitmer: "Playing with confidence because he’s a leader. Getting in the huddle, he’s motivating. Guys respect him."

PaulDoyle14:10pm via web
Incumbent QB Whitmer on #UConn spring: "A lot of positive plays.... Right now I’ve got a pretty good feel for [the offense]."

Its interesting. When I read coverage from someone other than Dez I find it objective. When I read Dez, I think what isn't he telling us and how is he shaping the news to meet whatever he wants the story to be. Anyway, enough on that...

Some nice updates. I hope the injury to Williams isn't serious...
