He's an awful shooter. He should stop shooting, and make plays some other way.

Hey, at least I'm consistent.

We all know he is in a funk no need to continue rolling the bus back and forth.

There's no need for Calhoun to keep playing the same way - 5 minutes 3 shots 3 misses 0 rebounds 0 assists 0 steals 0 blocks. I get the fact that his shot is off this year; what I don't get is why he hasn't realized that and adjusted his game.

It's beyond clownish to start another thread about this.

No it's not. It's another game and he's making the same mistakes. If he stops making the same mistake, then it would be clownish to harp on it. As long as he is playing the same way (jacking up shots, not doing anything else) it's fair game to discuss.

Give up on shooting from now on, huh? Brilliant. He's taking good shots. You can tell (well, YOU can't tell, but most people can) that they want him to knock one down and get some confidence back. If he's got a shot he should shoot it. The idea that he should be done shooting for the year is, like your lame attempt at trolling, clownish.

They were clearly looking to kick it out to him, he was wide open and got great looks.

What more of a purpose does this thread serve than your last one?

They gotta give him minutes and give him a chance to get his game going again. If you can't give a guy 6 minutes in a home game against Rutgers, when can you give him 6 minutes?

This guy is a troll. You're the reason the ignore button was created.

No he is a good shooter; just not this year.

I like Omar, I really do and I hope he comes out of his funk. But I keep on reading people say that he's a good shooter. He was 40 and 32 last year. That's far from "good" in my book especially considering his shot mechanics are a disaster. I know he was lauded as a shooter in high school. But so were Roscoe Smith and Jerome Dyson.

There's really no need to have any more threads on the guy while he struggles night in - night out to bring anything to the table……..we all know he wants to! Leave him alone now……..

Next thread should only be after getting three 3's vs Louisville!

It truly is baffling as to why Omar's shots are not falling.
He hit most of his shots in warm-ups.

I think Omar succeeding is very important for UConn, particularly on a post-Giffey/Napier/Kromah Huskies team next year. That said, a guy has to hit his shots if he wants to keep shooting like this. That is true on the UConn Huskies, on a 5th grade rec league team, and at the YMCA during open gym. It is really that simple.

When Omar arrived to Storrs, basketball people were already concerned about the mechanics of his shot. Until then, people shrugged it off because he was scoring at will vs. lesser competition. Well, that is no longer the case. His shot mechanics are awful and unless that is addressed, these woes will continue throughout his career. As it stands now, Omar contributes very little on the court. This isn't Reggie Miller or even Rashad Anderson going through a slump. Its been all season long. That isnt a slump, its something more.

His shots were within the flow of the offense. They just didnt go in. Give it a rest with these threads.
