Boy, Taco Bell really went out on a limb here.

If anyone attending the SU/UConn game tonight brings their ticket stub to Taco Bell they get a free taco....IF SU scores more than 65 points.

They should have made it 40 to make it sporting.

Some company must be selling this deal to various colleges. It is a deal offered to McDonalds if the PSU men score 70.

I'm going to tonight's game and dismissed the idea of getting a free Taco Bell as soon as I saw the condition. :D

I attended a Georgetown men's game a few years ago where Chick fil A had a similar promotion.

40 would definitley be sporting. A bit generous and insulting also. Raise the bar and dare to aspire.

Syracuse, in their past four losses to UConn, has scored 59, 53, 66, and 47 points. Somewhere at or near the top end of those figures would be a good sporting line.

So really, 65 isn't a bad line. (won't happen, but....)

almost hit their 4yr average

In the 1st half at the 9:43 mark the score was 24-24 and it sure looked like they would score 65 points and possibly make UConn win a close game. Then the players and coaches said/thought enough of this, lets win this game Syracuse scores 9 points in the rest of the half with 5 of the points coming in the last 42 seconds.

They played great off ball defense on Iasia Hemingway and kept the ball away from her and just like that Syracuse's offense went into the tank. It was the team defense shutting down Syracuse's best player midway through the first half to the end of the game. By limiting Hemingway's touches that also helped keep Kayla Alexander under control. I didn't see a lack of effort or Syracuse giving up, UConn played great team defense from the 9 minute mark of the 1st half.
