The night of the NIT championship I went into bedroom and managed to pull in a very scratchy, static-y broadcast of the game. Dee Rowe was doing the color. Don't remember who did the play by play. I think George Ehrlich might have been gone by then. At the end of the game, Dee, who sounded like he was close to tears, said, "I can't believe Jimmy won the NIT with this team!"
