Ny'Ceara Pryor ia only a 5" 3" freshman but she led the nation in steals per game & was 2nd nationally in regular season steals with 114.
She also won 3 NEC awards for the 1st time in NEC WBB history including Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
And she ended the regular season as the second-leading freshman scorer in the NCAA Division I ranks — and the nation’s 48th-best — averaging 17.9 ppg.

Very cool indeed and Sacred Heart is playing now so if folks have not seen Ms. Pryor play, now is a good chance. Over on ESPNU.

This highlight shows a sample of what she can do (mostly in the 2nd half).

The announcers said she’s actually closer to 5’1”. She’s quick and relentless, with great handles. Didn’t shoot particularly well, but her passing was excellent. 1st win in the NCAA tournament ever for an NEC conference team.

She made a crazy play to save the ball from going out of bounds at the base line in the tourney opener.
She sailed through the air & managed to slam the ball against the defender's leg sending it out of bounds for SH possession.
She bowled over a cameraman in the process & was lucky that she didn't get hurt.
Even the announcers affectionately called her "Little Momma."

She would draw 2 defenders when attempting to attack the basket, which allowed her to dish to an open player & to get 10 assists.
