Great news. Ryan Griffin just made the Houston Texan's 53 man roster after having a record breaking pre-season. He set the Texan's pre-season record for receptions and yardage for any receiver---rookie or veteran!! His play on special teams also gave him the versatility so important in today's NFL where you have to be multi-talented to stand out. Like on Broadway, you almost have to be a great singer, actor and dancer to see the stage.
For those who missed his last pre-season game vs the Cowboys, it will be rerun on NFL network tomorrow at 4pm. He had 5 catches and lots of yardage. His first regular season game is on Monday night Sept 9th in the late Espn game. The Texans play at San Diego where he'll be facing long time friend and fellow Husky Kendall Reyes of the Chargers. Incidently, they are the only two NFL players from New Hampshire and both Granite Staters will be playing against each other in what is quite a cool story for all of New England.
Finally, for those of you so inclined you may want to tune into the Clemson-Georgia game tonight on Espn. Seems that Ryan and best buddy and fellow Texan rookie DeAndre Hopkins (a Clemson alum) will be at the game on the Tiger's sideline. Look for the good looking kid with the UConn smile!
