Ryan Griffin and Kendall Reyes

Ryan and Kendall, the only active NFL players from New Hampshire, play against each other tonight in the late game on Espn at 10pm as the Texans face the Chargers in San Diego. Ryan and Kendall have been great buddies over the years as they competed as rivals in High School and teammates at UConn. Both of their families were constant and active members of our Husky HQ Tailgate for years. This story is garnering lots of media interest and doubtless you'll be reading about it in the coming days. In the meantime, as you watch tonight with both of them on the field, it will be easy to smile about this simple truth: while they now may be Texans and Chargers, to all of us they'll forever be Huskies.

For those who didn't stay up to watch, Kendall Reyes was very disruptive and one of the big reasons the Texans offense struggled early. The stat line isn't that impressive, but he was consistently penetrating the left side of the Texans line and allowing teammates to make plays. Griffin played some on ST, but the Texans have two good TEs in front of him so he won't be seeing much time on offense this year. I still think he landed in the perfect system long term though. Overall a good showing for the UConn guys.
