After the debacle against Rutgers in Norwich today, WHUS had Jim Penders on for the post game interview that they do after most games. It sounded like Penders has decided to move Ryan Fuller back to Third Base, with Conner David taking over at First. Fuller's fielding percentage last year was under .900. Still, if he fields 3B like he did last year, it would definitely be an improvement over what they have had this season.

We'll have to wait and see. The purpose of Fuller playing first was to hide his glove and let him hit. Unless there has been a lot of improvement in his 3B play, don't be surprised if the miscues at third continue. 40 games in and UConn still can't defend on a consistent basis. At this point in the season, the musical chairs line-ups don't help the chemistry or the confidence (especially the pitchers) of this team either.

I would think a .150 fielding improvement at 3b would make the pitchers feel a little better.
