Rutger's Sues BE

I haven't seen this posted yet, so forgive me if it has, but Rutger's is suing the BE for exit fees and the 27 month waiting period. Their reason: allowing other schools to forgo the waiting period ("Cuse, Pitt, etc..), and NOT collecting a reported $39 million dollar in fees from them. This money, Rutgers contends, would be split between the remaining schools. Is it possible that the BE has failed to even collect the fees from the schools leaving?

Makes sense. Maryland will join the Big 10 in a year. Rutgers does not want to wait 27 months to join. They want to force their way out sooner like West Virginia did. All you have to do is pay...

It makes sense to sue? Really? Don't you just send a messenger up to Providence with a check for $5M and a meatball sandwich and come back with a written agreement that says thanks, you're free to go on July 1, 2014? You need to introduce some idiot lawyer to pull that stunt off
