In summary, the state of NJ (my freaking tax dollars) went to subsidize RU athletics to the tune of $47 million in 2012/13, which was a +50% increase and is equal to 60% of the Scarlet Knights total athletic budget. Included in this is the $2.2 million dollar buy-out of former basketball coach Rice. Nothing if the AAC buy-out is included either. Did not that ticket sales were $1.2 million lower. and donations were $3 million lower. The folks in Piscataway are hoping that the B1G's annual projected revenue of $200 million shows-up soon. Of course, since this is Jersey, I can think of a 100 ways how that money will disappear.
