Rutgers Marquette

Are you guys serious? The game was such a stinker that, even though it was really close until the final two minutes, the crowd, with the exception of the usual loyal cadre of Rutgers fans, left the XL Center in droves. (My spouse and I stayed until the final whistle - which makes me wonder about us.) The earlier games were competitive and fun to watch (even Villanova which actually scored in the paint). Take away the sometimes unkind but always good natured cheers of the Rutgers band and the evening would have been intolerable.
it was close to 10pm... people had to travel. BTW they do the same during "UConn games"

just say you hate Rutgers but to say the 'nova game was any better.... PLEASE!

This was a different Rutgers team...38 fouls called in the game, only 14 on Rutgers. Meanwhile with Dennis leading the officials, only 6 fouls called all game against Louisville...1 in the second half. The Nova fan near me was irate...truth was, though, Ville only should have been called for 4 or 5 probably.

Where the hell were you Eric? Did you forget your 'yard "friends?" And as usual you're wrong in your comments. Any points Marquette mad were in the paint. Their two 3-pt shooters went 1-7 and 1-8. Overall Marquette 2-16; none in the second half.

Dreadful game to watch, to be honest. That said, I have watched something like 23 games on TV so far this post season (or parts of them) and there have been a number of unwatchable games. Either boring (including a couple in the BET) or just plain tough to watch basketball (LSU games come to mind).

I have heard all sorts of rumors about Canty, that noted above is the "best".

On a MUCH happier note, article in NJ paper yesterday about Speed indicates it only took her 3 1/2 years to "get" it. Now - after all that time - she's a happy camper and Viv wishes she wasn't graduating. Neither of which was true at the beginning of the season. Her play appears to reflect the change in attitude.

If you don't mind me asking, what have you heard?
