As far away as we possibly can from Mike Aresco. His leadership has failed. In a time when television contracts are exploding, ours has decreased. We no longer have our conference name. All we have is what we are. We don't need to associate ourselves with Houston, SMU or any other pathetic conference USA school. We are UConn, a brand name that can survive on its own. Going independent in football is not downgrading our program, it is giving it a lifeline. Find a home for all other sports, if it's the Big East then go for it. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO REMAIN IN OUR CURRENT POSITION.

Preaching to the choir.
His job as conference commissioner is to work for the best interests of ALL members. I believe when his conference falls apart that is a failure on his part. And it is not Aresco's job to find us a conference, that is UConn's. That is why we need to get out.
I'm sure Ray Reid isn't worried about a thing. Our current conference has 6 soccer playing members. But we will be fine right for all sports, right?
