Meh. Would be a decent OOC game but I doubt the suggested UConn-Dayton game, or any of the others he proposed, would generate a lot of buzz nor garner any significant TV coverage. It would also further the AAC's image as a mid-major conference.

This conference always has and always will be a kid-major conference.

The A10 happens to be a better mid-major conference than this one. Playing Dayton isn't as sexy as the blue bloods or OBE rivals, but it's a quality win in the eyes of the committee, which should count for something.

I'd much rather play rhode island in either gampel or in RI. It draw much more interest locally than dayton

IF this is the best we can hope for as being a member of this conference - I am still not sure
If it were a regional round robin - with UConn vs URI/UMass/even St Joes MAYBE
But it won't be like the P5 challenges, eventhough many teams in both the A10 and AAC can beat a good majority of the P5 schools
The A-10 and the AAC have talented players

Ding ding ding. And our visibility in a mid-major event would also further the image of our program as small-time.

From a purely basketball point of view, though, having a game like this instead of one of the usual cupcakes would probably be a boon to our RPI and development from being challenged by a better team.

When someone says "it's time for..." it's usually in response to a demand for something over a period of time.

Just don't see that here.

The net result of the myopia of our conference leaders .
Aresco should be shot
If someone was intentionally trying to destroy our program they could

Time for you to find another school in another conference. Don't waste your time here anymore.

It's block heads like you that destroy things. Aresco is not the problem. But fans like you are.

It makes no sense at all.

UConn, SMU, Cincy, Temple and Houston would have no problems filling up a schedule. Wichita will find it easier now as well.

As for the others....there's no sense in us getting involved in a mid-major hootenanny just because Tulane can't get a game.
