This has to be the deepest team that Uconn has ever had. If the second five played on another team, where do you think they would be ranked? And if the second five played the starters 10 times, how many games do you think they would win.

If the starters are as expected : CD, KF KLM, BH and SD then the second team will play even the starters by March. Right now, the starters would win 7 out of 10.

This team is very deep. However, the 2000 team had Swin, Svet, Schuey, Shea and Sue, with Asja, Tamika, BamBam, Paige and KJ on the bench. That's also deep.

I would have to go 50 - 50. Steward, Tuck, Stokes, Banks and Jefferson can pull two more out.

If you consider that the 2000-01 team had all the key players from a team that went 37-1 and steamrolled its opponent in the NC game the prior year AND all of the key players that went 39-0 and steamrolled all of WCBB the following year PLUS a kid like Maria Conlon who would go on to be the starting PG on two more NC teams after that, that has to be the gold standard for depth.

But this team is damn talented and I think inclined to have better chemistry than 2000-01 for a number of reasons. And hopefully better luck on the injury front.
