We’ll see what happens with Chesney, if he’s crap he’ll stay in Worcester and if he’s any good he’ll end up at Sacred Heart, Robert Morris or Stony Brook.

LOL....the Holy Cross football program, now back with scholarships, is probably one of the premier football jobs at the FCS-level....if and when Chesney moves on, it won't be to another FCS program

Its Holy Cross football. It's brand recognition extends from Springfield to Newton.

Premier jobs? Lol. HC is not on the same level as jobs like NDSU, Montana, Weber State, JMU, or Delaware. UConn isn't hiring Chesney. And Chesney isn't going to jump to an FBS job. But hopefully he has a good season with them and improves the status of New England coaches.

Just stop! There has to be a job opening first!
I can't stop. Once we win I can stop. The gravity of this game is pretty heavy.

The discussion about the next coach will be difficult to ignore if UConn football doesnt do what they need to do Saturday. Undue pressure? Maybe- but its what they all signed up for anyway.

Regardless of the score and outcome Saturday it might be worth being at the stadium just to see what kind of operation Robert Chesney runs. He's at the right stage in his career for a nice jump up to the next thing if he has a good 2021. This is his 11th year as a HEAD Coach.

Why does the Boneyard obsess over a coach very few has actually seen in action? Has he done a good job in the Patriot League? yes. This board wanted Joe Harasymiak from Maine a few years ago. The pattern is younger coach brings a team to play us from FCS and people lose their ****.
He is not winning outside the weak Patriot. Beating the Georgetowns and Bucknells and Lehighs.Geez. What happened to Lehigh? They're bad.

There once was this up and coming FCS DC we brought on that was able to single handedly set defensive records at UConn…and not the good kind.

For now, what we need is a coach who can win a half dozen games a year for about four to five years. Then, when the reputation of the FB team improves, the coach can move to his dream job or stay in Storrs. By the end of the decade, UConn could become a strong FB program again and could attract the attention of ACC or B12.
