Friday night game jan5. Thinking of heading out there with my son. Am I getting caught up in the “history” of the arena? Anyone else been there?

Went there last year and am going back this year. I live in Northern Indiana near Notre Dame. Pretty easy drive from there.

Was actually pretty impressed with it last year. Not really a bad seat in the house.

If you haven't bought tickets yet, call the Butler Ticket office, DM for number. Their fees are a lot less expensive than Ticketmaster. I got 3 tickets for $50/ticket and each ticket was like $4 in fees.

They really pushed their 5 ticket package this year so individual game tickets were very few left. The upper level (300?) is bench seating and anything below is seatbacks.

I visited a few summers ago while in Indy. Very cool building, I found an unlocked door and was able to walk onto the court.

Indy itself is not an amazing city but I found I liked it more than other similarly-sized cities in that area

They shot Hoosiers there.

I've only been to Indy for the 500.
A guy who was a sophomore on the "Hoosiers" team lives in my community and said the measuring was true but there was a lot of artistic license with things like the drunken assistant coach (not true). Still a true story and a great movie.
