Rizzotti to CT Sun

I think this is a great move for her and the best case scenario. Her coaching and recruiting at Hartford and GW seemed to be below average. But she's a passionate and intelligent basketball person. It seems like this will let her use all her quality skills without being held back by any of her weaknesses.

This is certainly a biggest joke to George Washington. The coach they fired is hired by a professional basketball team as a president.

Congratulations to Jennifer Rizzotti. The Connecticut Suns just gain one more fan! Looks like the perfect job for her!

Based on the job description, more business development than basketball decisions.

Mohegan Sun is excited to announce today that Jennifer Rizzotti has been named President of the Connecticut Sun (CT Sun). In this role, Rizzotti will be responsible for the overall business operations and marketing strategies of the Mohegan Tribe owned WNBA franchise that plays its home games in Mohegan Sun Arena

Honest ques.- what are the general qualifications for such a position, and does Jen have them? I'm happy for her- she more than landed on her feet post-GW! I remember sitting under the basket at PC watching UConn lose to the Friars in the BET in 1993 and thinking this team, with that kid as the PG, is gonna be good. One of my all-time favorite Huskies.

Jennifer Rizzotti's performance during the 1995 season and specifically in the NC game put UConn on the national map. For that I am eternally grateful and wish nothing but the best for her in her new job.

Not sure I agree. You can be a great coach, and not be a great executive or vice versa.
Agree. Exibit A: Phil Jackson
Or me and the hub. I was really good at youth soccer practice plans, whereas he was really good at doing the lineups and sub pattern.
