Embattled MLB legend Pete Rose dies at 83

Pete Rose, the all-time hits leader who was banned from baseball for betting on the game, has died at age 83.

I'm in the camp that he deserved to be in the HOF and think it's a damned shame he never got in while he was here. The rumor was always that he was kept out as an honor to Bart Giamatti's legacy and decision.

Ohtani's gambling "scandal" went away quicker than Jeffrey Epstein's suicide investigation and Rose lived with the scarlet letter for decades.

The hits (no pun intended) keep on coming. Great hitter. Great baseball player. Wasn't a perfect guy (who is?..."me glass house, you glass house...")

RIP Charlie Hustle. Tough as nails and a great player. He made some bad choices and was repaid over the top by Baseball with their refusal to admit him into the HOF.....which his on the field accomplishments deserved. Pete will be remembered as a great hitter. RIP Pete. RIP.
