RIP Neil Peart - One of the Greatest

I saw this terrible news a few minutes ago. Rush has been one of my favorite bands for over thirty years. I am fortunate that I had the opportunity to watch them play live a couple of times. RIP Professor.

A rock legend. Who hasn’t air drummed to “Tom Sawyer”? If you say you haven’t, you’re probably lying.

RIP, Neil. Condolences to the Peart family.

I haven't. Never a Rush fan. But Peart was a great drummer, having seen vids of him doing non-Rush music. RIP.

Dude had some serious and I never understood the intensity some people would fight over Peart. So, he wasn't Bonham or Moon. No shame in being the #3 head on Rushmore.

Peart was better than both of them.

Here's a video of from Stewart Copeland's YouTube feed (Neil Peart, Danny Carey w/Stewart Copeland on guitar)...Just jammin' for the hell of it.

I recently rediscovered another Canadian band with a tie to Rush. Had a couple of cool tunes but not very widely known in these parts. Anyone interested in playing "name that band?"

Peart was a legend. Geddy is a great bass player. I always felt Lifeson never gets the credit he deserves because of that.
Rush always had great guitar riffs in their songs. Still amazing their great sound came from only 3 guys.
