Ms Nancy. Can there ever be another? Elegant, soulful, relatable, oh so smart, oh so beautiful. Cecile McClorin Salvant did a great rendition of this song, but yours is the benchmark. Every song was a masterclass in how to interpret a lyric. My heart aches. RIP Ms. Nancy Wilson. And welcome home.

Oh man. At first I thought you meant Nancy Wilson from Heart. Two great but quite different vocalists.
That is why I enclosed the clip. :)

Yeah, me too. When they said she was 81, I was absolutely flabbergasted. ;)

Remember, this is the WBB board. Two thirds of the participants have rotary dial cell phones. :D
What the heck is wrong with 33 percent of the board?

Yeah, remember what board this is...like a thread on your favorite movie...PRE-1950!!!! I guess that would be for the WBB BYers born before 1940 because I certainly don't remember any movie that I saw before I was a teenager except for the very first movie I ever saw before I was 10 - Frankenstein starring Boris Karloff. (Not when it was released but when it was shown at the local Boy's Club in the late 50's, early 60's.)

You are a compassion person, Bless you! Didn't she go to Hart college of Music in Hartford? Now part of U of H I think--seems to be running around my cranium.

You needn't have been born before 1950 to remember a movie made before 1950! They actually recorded these films just so people could see them after they were made. Even people born after 1950. Very considerate of them come to think of it. Otherwise, they would have been plays, not movies. ;)

I hear ya Bama! I was having a brain fart. After I posted my reply, the same idea as yours occurred to me and I thought of many pre 1950 movies that I have seen and enjoyed. Movies like King Kong, Tarzan starring Johnny Weissmuller.
Ah, it's h*ll getting old.

There is good news. Once you really get old, you no longer remember that you are old.
