RIP Greg Gumbel

Had no idea he was 78, thought he was still in his 60s. He was a comfortable presence hosting the NCAAs. Never overexcited, never really controversial, just steady and solid and prepared. Sorry to hear he's gone.

Time marching on. I'm trying to think how far back I remember him from, he had a long career.

Sad to hear the news of his passing. Enjoyed his coverage of the NCAA tournament.

Great briadcaster. His brother Bryan is 76 but they both looked so young.

I remember him from his ESPN days. Also did some Super Bowls for CBS. RIP

He lived in Simsbury for years during his ESPN tenure. His daughter a Simsbury high grad same class as my brother. Real nice family, fantastic guy, great at his job who will be missed. Seemingly ageless.

Greg Gumbel's legacy in broadcasting will live on as a beacon of professionalism and passion for sports

Definitely one of the best tv presence and voices in broadcasting. He will be missed. RiP Greg Gumbel.

Greg came into our shop in Canton one time. He was very easy to talk too. His passing is a loss to all sports in line with Howard C.

Gumbel bros at Wrigley back in the day.
