Truly one of the greatest actors of the last half century plus. Also a guy that knew how to party. Between Sean Connery and Plummer passing, it is time to short hard alcohol stocks.

In 1955, the Shakespeare Festival Theater opened in Stratford, CT. The very first play presented was Julius Ceasar, starring Christopher Plummer as Mark Anthony.

One of the greatest. He was only 36 in this all time classic.

He was a very good bad guy.

One thing that has been noted about Christopher Plummer's career was his performance in films late in his career. He had a number of very good film roles late in life. One film of his from this late period that many people probably don't know about is "The Man Who Invented Christmas", a film that I would definitely recommend that people see, especially with Plummer in mind. This film imagines how Charles Dickens came about writing "A Christmas Carol". In this film Dickens has a rather active imagination where his fictional characters come to life before his eyes. Plummer plays Ebenezer Scrooge, and he basically steals this film with his interactions with Dickens.

Not sure about that last line, considering how well preserved they were for such a long run might encourage emulation. He was 91!
