Great actor and perfect in Rocky. Saw a picture of him about 1 year ago and he looked in great shape, just goes to show ya. RIP.

I'm a huge Rocky fan. It's my all-time favorite movie and everyone around me is sick of hearing me talk about it. I was 10 when the original Rocky came out and Apollo Creed was larger than life. And I'll always remember arguing with friends, up into my late teens that if Carl Weathers wanted to be a real boxer, he could have been and would have been one of the best. I think that kind of shows what a good job he did in that role.
