Here are some thoughts from UConn coach Geno Auriemma about this weekend …
“I don’t think it’s the best team that wins these next two games,’’ Auriemma said. “I think it’s the team that’s playing their best basketball. I think it’s the team that for two games is able to play at a higher level. Whether that’s us or Stanford or Maryland or Notre Dame. But the only game that’ll be an upset will be if we don’t win. Everybody else has kind of got a free pass. For us, if we don’t win … And it’s funny. You can’t do anything about it, but this is like Tiger Woods playing in the Masters. The story’s going to be Tiger either won the Masters or Tiger doesn’t win the Masters and, oh by the way, so-and-so did.’’
