In my opinion, this is a bad hire for Arizona. Rich Rod should have waited for an ACC or SEC job. Why? He has no recruiting ties to the West Coast and few ties to Texas, Arizona's traditional recruiting areas. Then again, the Pac12 South is horrible with USC on probation, so he can be mediocre pretty quickly.

Mike Leach would have been the home run hire for Arizona.
