Thanks for the link, Pap. It IS a "great read." And Kaleena IS a great person.

I think Kaleena will play a very large role next year in helping Stewart, Tuck and Jefferson fit into the UConn system and be big contributors to the team in their freshman year. I think Kaleena (next year) will fill the leadership void that UConn has suffered through this year.

Ya Gotta Love KML !!!!!!!

I agree that Kaleena will help her teammates. Kids love to play with her.

She and Bria team up nicely. Over 3 years, Kaleena and Breanna will flat out kill some teams on offense.

KML is 2-4 games away from passing Sveta on the freshman scoring list. Maya's mark is out of reach, but second on that list is a very nice place to be.

In six different games, she has made at least five 3-pointers. Yikes! Let's see if she can get that to twelve games. :)

Morgan Tuck is a scoring machine, too. She's a real stud!

So is MoJeff. I love Morgan. I didn't mean to exclude anyone, but the two HS NPOYs paired together will be special. It worked out pretty well with Tina and Maya. And I would say that Kaleena is ahead of where Tina was at the end of her first year. And Bre is supposed to be as good as anyone we've ever had

Yet is left off the WBCA All-Regional team in lieu of St. John's Sr. F Da'Shena Stevens who missed 10 games and only averaged 11ppg (only 4th on her team) and 6rpg compared to KML's 15ppg (2nd on her team - 9pts. behind #1 - all but one game off the bench as a FRESHMAN) and 5rpg. #SMH #NoRespect

p.s. - not a knock on Stevens (who I love as a player, BTW), just very disrespectful to KML, IMO due to how much she helped UConn achieve this season including being the MOP of the BET (as the 3-seed).

So we should see some 100 point games soon?

What a terrific read…Rich provides insightful detail and catalogues the developmental process of a freshman, indeed a spectacular freshman basketball player. A must read for all the “hey, her shots are not going in” crowd. Athlete of value, a person of substance.

He quoted ability to self examine and change as a result, will be a model for the team, going forward, yes, for years to come.
