Lots of good stuff, team still has confidence they can win a championship, maybe two.
This Geno quote says it best:
“I don’t think saying it again is going make any difference whatsoever,’’ Auriemma said. “There comes a point in time where the competitiveness that the kids have is going to override anything else. You can say and do things all you want, but each individual player and then the team collectively has to have a common focus. The problems that we’ve had as a team in the four losses is that inability to collectively be on the same page and focus. So every one of those guys is capable of and have done it this year. They’ve all been right on. They’ve all been right there. The problem is that when we get into a game where things don’t go their way and things happen that they’re not comfortable with they aren’t able to maintain that. And no amount of talking is going to change that. No amount of talking, no amount of anything’s going to change things that only time and experience are going to change.’’
