Economist saying trying to keep up isn't worth it. Alright, so let's just pack it up and call it a day.

Let's just take a look at something here....there are a bunch of schools in the AAC that supplement their athletic programs that are percentage wise of the entire budget at least equal to or maybe more than UConn and Houston. Yet this OTL piece ONLY chose to focus on those 2 schools. Why? This is no conspiracy theory on my part..just wondering..why choose UConn and Houston and leave out Cincy, UCF, USF and Memphis

Because ESPN currently has exclusive rights to a top-10 cfb team and an elite hoops program for pennies on the dollar, and isn't particularly looking to pay more for them and/or share their rights with FOX if it can help it.

Hence, the smear/devaluing campaign...
