Said UConn coach Geno Auriemma: “This is the most active I’ve seen Stewie in a while. Having Morgan (Tuck) out there really helps her. We finally got a bunch of screens set for her. She got open a lot and got a lot of easy buckets, wide open jump shots. That kind of stuff. And Stewie knows. What do you need to get 40 today for? It’s more important to Stewie’s ability to win a national championship if Gabby Williams gets to be really, really good, if some of the other guys get a lot of confidence. Stewie’s good enough and she’s had enough success that she doesn’t have to prove it over 40 minutes in a day like today that, `Hey, I can get 40 if I want.’ Stewie’s a team player more than anything.’’
