This was exactly the type of game Randy's UConn teams would have won. Home game, somehow find yourself up by 14 points. They would not have imploded like this team. They'd have hung on. The key was having a 2 TD lead late in 3rd Quarter, much like Papa John Bowl.

Edsall would have won 6 or 7 games with the 2011 team and 8 or 9 games with last season's team and, TDH, you would have called for him to get canned because he reached his ceiling and didn't throw the ball all over the god damn field.

Randy Edsall knows how to build programs and win with the talent that is available to him. Folks don't want to hear that, but it is what it is.

I agree with this statement, but it's hard to agree with the OP when I've seen him say over and over again that he's always wanted a more exciting, pass-happy offense rather than the old boring run-the-ball every down, control-the-clock offense that Edsall had installed. Well, he's now got an offense that is almost completely relying on the pass. It's super-funny that he's looking to recapture our past style...

And? He's gone. Just like the girl that got away. Let it go, man.
