Vital missed too many open shots for a 9. Coach Hurley drew up 2 out of bounds plays for him which he bricked (imo those plays should go to Jalen). Besides that, I think it was the best game of his career here. His lack of forced shots/drives were a thing of beauty. A different player.
Carlton could do no wrong today, besides a botched rebound. One of these games, him and Cobb will meet in the middle.
Polley got beat too many times on Defense for us to give him an 8.5. His development has been significant, makes us excited for the 2 years to come.
A couple of notes to add, A. Gilbert is going to be our wild Card when it comes to better competition this year. His upside is unmatched, but then he’ll run a couple plays that make you think “huh?”. His game against Syracuse made us think all the rust was behind, but it’s apparent not quite yet.
And lastly, B. Adams is a joy to watch when keeping in mind the future of this program. Love that Hurley keeps feeding him minutes: that’s what the big wigs on Wall Street call a solid investment.

Your grading is getting better... this is pretty fair. Some other games have been a little off (IMHO)... but I guess all grades can be subjective without an objective rubric of some kind. Keep it up teacher... it makes for good conversation!
