I played intramural hockey with my dorm and took ice skating classes as part of the PE requirement in late '70s at 8AM. I was the only one in class with hockey skates while everyone else was doing their spins and jumps on figure skates. Cold but great ice. Very attractive French teacher as I recall. Dormmates that didn't play watched our games while drinking their brandy.
