A great display of team unity here. All of those young ladies understand the value and importance of a scholarship. There's nothing like being awarded an athletic scholarship, especially after being a walk-on. You can't imagine (unless you've been there) the financial stress relief that comes with the awarding of that scholarship.
Especially if you can barely afford (or can't afford) to send your child to college. A scholarship is the only way (other than financial aid which must be repaid) many of these athletes could attend college. The cost is prohibitive and rising. I'm very happy for this young lady. It's always nice to see someone receive a blessing. This post/video makes my day.

I just love to see the reactions of people as they receive happy surprises. Joy, joy, joy, tears ... hey, wipe off the mascara leakage for me girl! A very good summertime kick.
