This year Matt needs to work on his command and his #2 and #3 pitches. A decent year in the minors will probably earn a September call up.

Tough break, I heard he was touching 96 when he pitched against the college teams early in spring training. That is major league velocity.

But as the old saying goes, you can't make the team from the bench.
