The Red Sox admitted to MLB that they used electronic devices in the dugout to relay stolen signs to their batters. While stealing signs is considered unsportsmanlike there is no rule against it but the Sox broke the rule about using electronic devices in the dugout. It appears that they used the devices in 2 wins against the Yankees.

The rules allow the league to impose the forfeiture of games.
Rumors that Bill Belichick was seen in the centerfield stands with high powered binoculars are currently unsubstantiated.
