In the past month or so, Dawn’s program has been the subject of two patently false internet articles obviously posted as clickbait.

Is antbody else being lied about?

The first lying article was that Oliviyah Edwards had committed to Dawn. She hasnot. Dawn has not issued a “bird in the nest” Statement about anyone this year. Edwards has announced a visit but is also visiting the Vols and others Here is the false article:

Here is a second patently false article about an unnamed commitment:

Another: ð¨Dawn Staley Lands Nationâs No. 1 Recruit | South Carolina Womenâs Basketballâ¼ï¸

Prime source hasn’t released any patently false articles though they cross release highly suspect articles that suggest that they are “top choices” for certain players when they are merely top contenders on the national scene.

Anybody else the subject being the subject of this crap?

Sad that stuff like this goes out on any platform. That is world we are living in these days.

". . . a top-ranked recruit has committed to play. . ."

That has the ring of the old Weekly World News, who was always quoting a top scientist. Like "Top scientist finds that Moon is giant space creature's skull" :D

The second one seems to be pretty clearly AI generated slop. Forget the lies, I would be careful clicking links like that for security reasons alone.

Good question. My purpose is to expose them to ridicule. The few clicks they receive from the exposure here will do them little good.Plus, it exposes AI overall as being UNintelligent

Posting these helps to amplify this site. Why give them more visibility if their information is no good?

I also think we're the wrong audience for the PSA. I think most on this site are well-enough informed for our Spidey senses to be activated just by the title/images on the video preview...

The bandwagon WBB fandom on X are more likely to gobble this up as truth.

From my perspective, these sites don't deserve even the slightest hint of attention.

It's not a matter of a PSA but an opinion as to whether it's worth sharing their outright false information. The reason why I participate on this board is because of how well informed members are. I can't have the types of discussions held here with my peers.
