recruiting junkies: 2013 Rathan-Mayes

I know we are in season, hearing the staff likes his game. Heard from some scouts that he is just ok and others love his game. Anyone heard or watched him

is he the kid who has family in ct and would like the idea of being around them(or something like that)???

His dad, Theron Mayes, was a big star at Lee HS and went to Fla. state. He almost went to UConn as JC's 1st recruit but academic support for him wasn't in place yet. JC didn't want to have a local kid flunk out. This was shortly after the Earl Kelley fiasco.
Dad played in the pro's for a few years too.
