The following year Geno brought in Azzi Caroline Amari and Dorka. Injuries thwarted this class but Dorka gave Geno two great years.

One year later Geno brought in Lou Inês Ice and Ayanna. Lou gave us every bit of heart and courage she had and we are grateful. One season and she left her mark in Storrs. Inês filled a gap when she was called upon and her story at UConn still has some surprises in it. Ice and Ayanna may impress us all next fall.

This year Geno landed KK Ash Qadence and Jana (a midyear arrival the previous spring) and we’ve already seen what the due first three can do. It remains to be seen what Jana can do — some are too nervous to believe, but I’m hopeful she’ll be a dominating low post presence and rim protector who can also play the high post.

Next fall Geno is bringing in Morgan and Allie and we have high hopes for both of them. It remains to be seen who the third recruit will be.

All in all, this has been quite a run of recruiting classes for Geno.
