I had high hopes for this. The Director from Parasite Bong Joon Ho made it. It's sort of the same idea. The elites control it all, we are pawns in the game, some of us have it worse than others and the ones or one that has it the worst sometimes can throw a wrench into the works.

It's not a bad movie, its far above average and you should check it out, but it was nothing like Parasite where at the end you are like "Damn, that's some heavy sh^7".  It basically was a little bit too Hollywood. But it still has a dash of Terry Gilliam with some 5th Element thrown in.

What does stand out a bit are the creatures. Robert Pattinson does a good job. Mark Ruffalo really underwhelmed, but the creatures (aliens) really sort of steal every scene.

Ho is a better director than James Cameron. In less time and exposition he portrays some aliens that couldn't appear less human yet end up representing an uncorrupted society much better than Cameron has done in 7 hours of Avatar movies.  They are clever, willing to sacrifice, have cunning and guile and a sense of humor.
