Did the free trial w/ Starz, cancelled it, now I'm on to a free trial of Apple TV+. Did a double feature tonight with a bit of a theme. "The Family Plan" and "Ghosted." Both with an operative who has to juggle career with personal life, with fairly disastrous results. Neither was really anything new, both probably fairly forgettable, but enjoyable enough. Both had overblown climatic scenes that dragged a bit. In the first Mark Wahlberg Mark Wahlberged his heart out. I don't think Michelle Monaghan has aged a day in the last 20 years. I like Zoe Colletti. Maggie Q is another actress who is cheating the aging process (hey she was in the same Mission Impossible movie as Michelle Monaghan, just realized that). They really went heavy on the cameos in Ghosted. Maybe Chris Evans called in some favors, it was pretty much a Marvel reunion. Ana de Armas...enough said. I don't usually catch the continuity snafus in movies, but there was a big one in Ghosted. There was a huge shootout in a restaurant with a rotating outer platform and stationary center. Bodies piled everywhere. A mechanical malfunction sped up the rotations and turned it into a centrifuge. While some objects were flying around the room...all the dead people had magically disappeared and were no longer there. Oopsie.
