It is pretty much why I gave up going to movie theaters about 10 years ago. Most of the movies I want to see are not the highest grossing items, so by the time I was ready to go see them they would be gone from places like Niantic Cinema or the Mystic Theater which I frequented in the past. It happened to coincide with a Netflix gift subscription that I got from a friend, something I have happily continued to this day. I still see the films I want, only several months down the line.
