Like I said I think they want out of the rental business but are stuck for now.  They have more demand than supply for new releases.  They don't seem to be particularly concerned about the customer's experience or satisfaction at this point.  They seem to have a weird model that punishes rather than rewards long time customers.

Streaming has plenty of content but it's still fairly finite compared to DVD catalog, and it's also more geared toward bingeing TV shows rather than movies.  I just have a hard time trying to pick my way thru a TV show that has been airing for 5-10 years.
