KO has been preaching the value of rebounding all year long. Theory behind it is because we are a good shooting team, the more chances we get on offense, the more likely we are to win. Today was one of those odd circumstances where we actually out rebounded the opposition (UCONN 17-37, SMU 8-31) but shot so poorly it didn't matter (UCONN 29.6%, SMU 46,7%). I still believe KO is correct, but if we can't make shots as a team, we can lose to anyone. The key down the stretch of the season is for a few of the guys who have been struggling with their shot (LS, RB, DD, OC) to figure it out. If that happens, Bazz will have the support he needs to get W's and make a run in the tournament. I am fairly comfortable with our rotation on the frontline. They have improved enough, we just need the players that are supposed to be good shooters to play at a higher level. Let's hope the can figure it out.
