Rebecca Lobo @RebeccaLobo
High school senior Breanna Stewart could make a WNBA roster right now.

She was hilarious yesterday, when Brieanna pulled up to shoot another three she goes, "Come on..." like she was almost exasperated at how good she was.

I said that yesterday, and even suggested that she give it a go. Surely she needs the money.

I don't know who the other commentator was, but he was suggesting to Rebecca that she could still get out there and play. She scoffed at him and said "No way, but I could still beat you."

But 4 years with Geno is priceless.

Are you feeding Rebecca lines in her earpiece?? :D

Exactly the way I felt when I saw Maya during her freshman year. She made things look easy and was just soooooo good.

I was surprised there weren't any comments from Orange Nation about Rebecca's comments about Breanna. She was effusive in her praise about her abilities and her humble personality. However, I do remember similar comments being made when Candace Parker played for Team USA and other All Star games.

I don't ever recall the word "humble" being used when describing Parker.

That's my recollection as well. Breanna, humble. Maya, humble, Candace, not that I recall.

Humble, no, but Candace was a six-star recruit. And so is Breanna. She's the surest thing since Brittney Griner.

Candace Parker so NOT HUMBLE!

BTW, please tell me what network carried the game and is a replay viewable on-line?

Thanks.

Guess I could have added another sentence that they never commented that Candace was humble, but thought that would be going overboard. I was mainly thinking about the comments that were made regarding her talent on the floor and how she would revolutionize the game. Have to give Rebecca credit she didn't use that line about Breanna.

Thank goodness all players are not humble. How boring would that be? I like to see some cockiness, like with Parker and DT have.

I agree. It's like JR Ewing...we all need somebody to hate. :)

Just to clarify, I DO NOT hate Parker or DT...I love them both and love how they consistently represent the USA.

No, but I also loved them when they were in college. The were so good and competitive that I could never dislike them. There have been players that I absolutely could not stand. I have to admit that I usually root against Diggins and Kelsey Bone. I just can't seem to like either of them.

I always thought there was a difference between Parker and Dee, though. Both have always been very confident players and they have the goods to back it up. But Parker would show up other (less talented) players, particularly in college. Those stare-downs and the fake-fights were such a turn-off. Dee tried to show up a player once and I think it was Rutgers' Tasha Pointer who was running her mouth at Dee for the entire game her freshman year. Dee finally hit a 3-pointer on her and clapped in Pointer's face. Geno yanked her from the game and she never returned. He told the team afterwards that there was room for only one jerk on the team and that was him. Summitt never sat Parker after some of her ridiculous antics on the court.

On the other hand, I know Dee's profanity is also a turn-off for many fans. I've been critical of some of Dee's outbursts. But there's a complexity and texture to Dee's personality that we get glimpses of now and then and that's what makes her (to me at least) one of the more intriguing female athletes in the world.

Based solely on talent, I'd like to have both on my team and that'll happen this summer in London.

ESPN3 pretty much leaves Cablevision customers in the dark, correct? Does anyone know enough about ESPN's habits to say whether the games will ever appear on other ESPN channels?

Well, you aren't a UConn fan or a Tennessee fan, so I don't expect the same vitriol towards those two players from you.

I will say that Diggins has passed Parker as my least liked player. And I can't wait until the 3-4 ND games this year against UConn. It won't be pretty.

Diggins is WAY up there in terms of least-liked players. At least CP backed it up with a pair of National Championships. Gotta respect that.

I too really dislike SD and have always wondered if I would dislike her as much if UConn had not lost to them at two consecutive FF's?

On the other hand, despite wanting to beat Baylor and Stanford, I like (or at least do not dislike), the stars for those teams.

LOL!!
