Coming out of HS there was no choice involved about college, it was just the progression you went through and I treated it and my courses as drudgery for the most part. When I went back, it was a choice I was making and one that involved giving up a certain amount of freedom so I knew exactly why I was taking those classes and getting that piece of paper. I was more serious and definitely enjoyed/appreciated the process and the experience in a way I had not the first time around.
