RU up 58-56 with ab out 2 minutes left. t hey were down about 10 at the half.

ugh. Sykes tries to be the hero with RU up 1 and launches a 3 with 37 seconds left. misses, and then Bria Smith fouled and hits both FT's to put L'ville up 60-59

exciting end to regulation. now in OT 60-60

And in other news..... Tex Tech down 10 to KSU at the half.

Well, RU pulls it out in OT. actually a really good game for Sykes. btw, Hammond, the one time UCONN recruit, 0 points on 0-2 shooting, 1 rebound, 1 assist. not sure how many minutes she played for L'ville.

btw Dayton apparently gave #12 Green Bay a good game losing by 9...

Rutgers really pressured Shoni. She had very costly turnovers. Wish she had chosen RU over L'Ville.

Wheeler had a big game for you guys too. how close were you to getting Schimmel? was she down to RU or L'ville?

Not sure how close RU was to getting Schimmel, but I believe we were in her final 3 or 5.

Wheeler played huge today. She's been struggling with her shot a bit, so I hope this game is a huge confidence boost for her. She can score in bunches, as she did today, when she gets hot.

Sykes pretty quietly finished with 19pts, but she was very strong today on both offense and defense.

Rushdan shot the ball horribly, but finished with 9pts, 11 boards, and 8 assists. Her passes to Oliver were fantastic all day, and she would have another assist if Oliver's lay-up with 13 seconds to go in OT didn't fall off the rim.

Schimmel was down to RU and L'ville. It must had been a pretty hard choice considering she chose L'ville very late.

One of the reasons for being so late was I believe that she was still hoping to qualify for Stanford. At least that's what my hazy memory says at the moment.

Correct.

.
Pretty charitable of you, Padre. I remember her announcement coinciding with the release of a documentary of her unusual history back there in Oregon.
