what a terrific career he had here for us. he kicked us into the fiesta bowl in addition to countless other game winning kicks. he was 4 for 4 for kicks over 50 yards this year. with all the lousy kicking in the NFL this year it seems like someone could use him

I don't know if I sound crazy, but if he has a steady career in the NFL and wins legendary games, he can go to the Pro Hall of Fame.

He would have to make an NFL team first. Seriously, he had a great college career and will have a shot at an NFL team, but I don't think he is a lock to make a team right now.

Anyone know why Teggart never got the kickoff duties? If he is not able to provide a consistent and strong kick-off, it may limit his potential on an NFL roster--they aren't going to use another roster spot for 'kick off specialist' and most NFL punters aren't kickoff guys either. It's not like Christenson was some amazing kick off guy....so I am guess Teggart is lacking there.

Anyone know any background on this.

PS...this isn't meant as a knock on Teggart...he was clearly an amazing place kicker for us. Just a thought that came up in my mind in thinking about his NFL chances.

The killer for him is that there are only 32 jobs of its kind in the world. If he doesn't make the NFL as a starting kicker, he's got a great shot to make a roster if someone goes down.

I've always assumed that he hasn't kicked off to protect him from injury when making a tackle on a returner as the safety man, but I could obviously be wrong.

Teggart's kicking will be sorely missed. You can bet Alabama wishes they had him on their roster.

Fortunately Christen has a hell of a leg himself so if he can be composed next year he should be able to continue our success in the kicking game.

He will definitely get a shot at an NFL job...he has been too acurate from long range and iced too many big kicks with games on the line not to.

don't we have a stud kicker coming in from Florida? i don't follow recruiting but i thought i remembered seeing that. Teggart has certainly been a huge part of our successes over his time here.
